back to blog again..

Leaving for overseas trip in less than 2 days time. Will be departing on the 15 April midnight flight. Don't know why? I seem to be so fate with 15 that my flight to Australia and this coming trip both fly off on the 15. Will be away for 3 week plus, estimate date of return will be ard May 6, touch down Singapore ard midnight flight.

The 6 days break was a long waited one. Finally, i can turn off and relax myself.
For the past few days, i have been watching this Taiwan 臺灣偶像劇 " 18禁不禁 ". 首集的收視率為2.31. The show consist of comedy, romance and some sensitive topic. haha..

Had been stop blogging for close to a mths plus..

Finally, the "things" had hand over le. My long awaited long weekend finally arrived, no more irregular working hours and not enough slp le.

Soon, i will be going for another overseas in another 9 more days. My third and last trip of the 2 years in service.

Too much to blog but don't know how to say. Will blog again before i left for overseas bah..

Will be leaving to battle Opfor from 19Feb to 23Feb. This time round its no longer a normal training. This time round is where "bullet" will fly, men will die. Close buddies beside u will collaspe and die when he is shot. It is the closer to war that it going to be from the 19Feb when the siren sound. Neither am i spare from dead, cause i am few of the most attractive target for the opfor as i am the point sc of my platoon, the first one who will most likely to contact the opfor first and also the replacement for my PC when he is down.

Apart from all those, after this outfield will be left with one more Overseas and finally ORD.. less than 14 weeks more to go. Will update my blog if i manage to survive this outfield.

These Lunar New Year wasn't that hectic...

Eve..
I bookout ard 10am.. When to parkway parade with my buddies to shop for new year clothes. I brought a jean cost ard $30 at Mark and Spencer. When home for reunion dinner.
At night, i stay by the TV to watch the Andy Lau show at 7pm. A heartwarming show, highly recommended.. Ard 11 plus i when to bed le..

Day 1..
Wake up quite early, after so many new year first time i wake up at 8am.
When to my grandma house to collect AngBao and bian nian, then to er yi po house then to san yi po house. As usual nothing much to talk about, i was just there eating all the goodies. Cause the age gap was quite different, too many young kids. No common topic. Haha..
After that, i went to my Mum's side grandma house. When there for steamboat dinner. After dinner had a short chit chat with the cousins. When for a short gamble of 21, I lost all my bet in the end. Not much only abt $4. =) I don't like to gamble, only during new year time i will join in to add in the atmosphere. I almost lost $$ every years. =p
Then i went to the living room to watch TV. Watch until half way i doze off on the sofa. By the time i wake up, it was ard 11 plus pm.

Day 2..
No place to go plus i was too tired from day 1 bian nian. i stayed at home to slack.. i slept quite early that day too.. ard 11pm i was almost ZZZzzzzzz....

Day 3..
I woke up with an aching body and slight fever. I take 2 panadols and continue to sleep. In the afternoon, i meet up with dear to go walk walk at city area. Intend to go River Angbao but i was sick to walk there. So we have our dinner at AijiTeh Sushi at Plaza Singapura, then we went to Centrepoint, Orchard then home.

Day 4..
Dear came over to my house to bian nian. Feel so sad, i haven't go over to her house yet..
Going to book in tonight. To prepare for next next week final and last outfield 5 days 4 nights exercise. Still sick..

When down to Chinatown for a walk on Sat, nothing much to buy for New Year. Most of the store there sold Taiwan Mochi and Jelly. These year lighting should be quite nice got alot of Disney Character like pooh, ducks, trigger, mickey lion dancing..etc. didn't manage to see the night one but the day view of it was already quite nice.

After that, together with dear we took a walk down to Raffles then to Cityhall. The usual route that stretch from west to central part of S'pore. Went to Esplanade walk but the River AngBao was not ready yet, we went to Esplanade then to Marina Square then to Suntec City. We had our dinner at Fish n Co. after dinner headed down to Cityhall, Raffles Shopping mall to hunt for New Year clothes. Manage to brought 3 polo t-shirt from Robinson Sale.

Hmm.. Outfield just ended and Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Its time to get a short rest and to catch up with all my loved one and friends.

Hmm.. nothing much to update about. cause alot of things/thinks cannot say.. haha

Hmm.. have been staying at home for the past last 2 weeks due to dear not feeling well. Its ok cause i can also rest at home to spend more time to hug my pillow and lay on my bed.
This coming week will be another outfield week from Tuesday till Friday. So much to prepare and so tired about it. One good thing is whenever there is outfield, time will passby very fast. Cause many sleepless night and soon will start to lost count of the days and date by the time i notice it, its already Friday.

Its time to register for Uni, if i want to continue study after NS. But i sill don't know which module i want. Currently, i am thinking of Hotel Management, Computer Science, Business or anyhow choose. haha.. Let decide when i finish my outfield.

Planning for a overseas trip to Taiwan after i ORD, the initial planning stage is already underway. Dear friends out there if u want to join in pls let me know.. the departure date is ard late june to early july. I sincerely invite ur presence since its has been a long time we meet up for gathering.

Tomorrow, is Mum Birthday. Together with dear, we bought her a ESCADA perfume at Bugis junction on Friday night after i bookout. Later going out for dinner before i book in.

Chinese New Year is coming, less than 2 weeks away. yet i still can't manage to find any suitable clothes for this new year. Yesterday, when down to town areas to shop for clothes, but to no avail. Sigh~~ Going to try again this coming weekend. So fast Chinese New Year le.. Still remember the long post i created last Year? To me it was just like created not so long ago.

Enough of blogging for now.. Cause i began to lost for words and ideas to type. Hmmm... really nothing much to input le. Signing off for now.. Oh Ya!! I change a new song, hope that it sound pleasing to all.. Anyway, its time to change the snail song too.. haha =)

2007 had past by us.. Now it's already 2008. Its began with countdown, a loud bang of fireworks and celebration. So fast another years had past. My blog is another year older, I had been writing it for 2 years le. Time flies and wait for no man.

2007 was another memorable year that fill with lots and lots of memories that one can't bear to forgot. For me, 2007 was a good year to remember.

Jan..
I was posted to ATI for 2mth le and started my training as an armour commander. The training was shiong but the end result was fulfilling and rewarding. Not many people can be chosen to be an armour commander.

Feb
The Chinese New Year, was another time of the year to collect AngBao and to have cohesion with relatives. 2007 new year was a great one, got a lot of first time.

Mar
During march on 2007, i was at overseas till early april. I was in this country called Taiwan to be further trained. My first time going to the country and i finally get to be there in real person to experience all the foods rather than just seeing it in TV. I also spent my 22nd birthday there.

April
I passed out of ATI and was posted to my current unit to be a SC. First time having real 6 men under me. The feeling was weird but soon i got use to it.

May
I was involve in the NDP 2007 at the Floating Platform. First time and the first few person to step onto the platform while it was still at it building stage and when it was still close to the public.

June
My first time working with PA. I was in-charge of these group of youngster ard my age. Throughout the NDP i got to know each of them and become friends.

July
I pass my SOC. I was at the NDP ground and experience the reheasal of the NDP and the NE Show of the NDP. Thought lots of weekend got 'burn' but it was worth it. Especially, when u see the smile on the participant and the smile on the spectators.

August
NDP 2007 actual day. Fireworks was awesome!! Gonna to miss NDP 2007 and the Floating Platform when i spent lots of weekend and effort there on the Big Day for Singapore Birthday.

September
Was a relax month. Nothing much and i juz relax

October
When for another overseas trip to Wallaby, Australia on 15 Oct. First time there and experience lots of first time. After return from wallaby, i was busy preparing for my test.

November
Complete the test with result that i was very satified with. Soon after December came.

December
I was clearing my leave and off to spend time with all my loved one. And before noticing it, 2007 was gone and here come 2008.

2007 just passby me in a flash even before i notice.. a year seem to be very long if its 365 days but if you really look into it, its actually 52weeks only. Only 52 weekend of sat and sun rest and chionging and a year is gone.

Hmm.. Now on long leave till 26Dec 07

Finally manage to catch some rest before 2008. Having leave from 12 Dec till 26 Dec..
Hmm.. Abit weird cause long time since i have such a long break. Anyway, during the break i still got things to do.. sigh~~

2008 going to kick off with a bang!!

First, is got lot of field trip upcoming to prepare for the next test..
Second, got to keep fit again cause SOC coming.. Sigh~~ But no worry.. can pass with training.
Third, another overseas trip.
Lastly, is prepare for ORD on 6 June 08.

It has been a month since i last blog. Sorry for that cause i was quite busy and at the same time lazy to update.. =p

I just finish my test for Stage 1.. I manage to lead 2 section to achieve recdcon 1 for hand grenade and crew drill.. I, myself also got a personal recdcon 1 for navigation. All the week of preparation and hardwork finally paid off on the test day.

Last Sunday, i watched Enchanted with Dear at Tampines Mall GV. Like Fairy Tale story, overall the show was good. ***1/2 out of *****.
I am going to catch the next movie, "Warlord". Must watch movie.

Another IMPORTANT thing is i am still left with 180days to ORD.. which is less than 25weeks to go after minus away all the sat, sun, public holiday, block leave, off and leave.

1 more things is i may need to go for another overseas trip again ard march to april period.
If i am selected, it will be my 3rd trip in my entire NS duration. Consider it lucky or what cause not many or few people can go overseas more than once in their entire NS.

Experience in Wallaby
Rockhampton, Australia

Weather there was hot during daytime and extreme cold during the night. Even 4 layers of clothes can still make u shiver in the middle of the night even with the protection from the veh.

The foods in the camp canteen was expensive. Beef sasuage (Kabana) cost $2, coke $1.60 and orange juice $2.50. All in aussie dollar.

Bathing facilities there was an experience. Inorder to bath, i have to fill up the water bag then raise it high and secure it before i start to enjoy. Max 2 pails of water is enough to fill the bag.

The journey to veh shed is damn long, 1.5km walk before can reached.

Got to watch up close with Emu and Kangaroo. Quite an experience.

Australia is 2hrs faster than Singapore. Imagine everyday i wake up at 530am Australia time which by that time the sky is already quite bright. Singapore is only 330am.

Bash in close terrain vegetation in the dark and bang down lots of tree using veh. Imagine 1 tree cost $50, can't calculate how much i have bang down. Something close to $2000 on that very night. Imagine got many of that night and sometime day. That is how all your tax is being use.

Countless time of near misses where veh almost overturn.

First time shooting 'live' round with no proper mark out route of advance. Be operational is quite an experience.

First time seeing slap round and close encounter of tank firing side by side my veh. Of course at the end of the day, my whole body was cover with sand, dust and dirt.

First time having a 25mm 'live' round flying past and super close to my head only less than 1m on my left side. Really lucky me. Cause it was a misfire due to mechanism faulty. Woot~ at that time i was cold feet and Thank God i was still alive.

First time got to taste the crunchy of the fine sand in Australia inland and also got to breath in often then u can think. Cause when the veh move it create a small sand storm so no choice either breath in or die. The sand was finest than the sand at our beaches.

First time being to such a big resort in Yeppoon, thought nothing much to play at least i manage to see the coastline.

Shopping in Rockhampton shopping mall was an experience. Something like our IMM size of shopping mall. The food serving there were all so big, soft can drink that come in 375ml. But it close at 5.30pm everyday and close on Sunday.

When to their 3 major supermarket and discover most of the things sold there could be brought in Singapore supermarket.

Brought lot and lot of naugot and chocolates. The chocolate there was cheap and come in big packaging.

First time when i raise up my head saw so many many many many stars.

Second time boarding the plane need to climb up stairs, first time was in Indonesia. In another word, up close with the plane. Nice feeling man!

The most common words or phrases that i say in Australia was, "Hey Mike", "Thanks Man".

Experience a day of Australian way of life when travelling through the town.

First time when to an Australian College inside a Unviersity, Central Queensland University for lunch and night snack. Foods serve there was western with bit of asian taste, fried, bread, cupcake and chocolates.

First time onboard Air New Zealand flight. Good plane with friendly host.

First time where my parents and girlfriend accompany me to airport to send me off for overseas training. Taiwan Flight was in the middle of the night, maybe that is why dun have..

Pray hard there won't be another time of overseas training going to Taiwan during March to April duration. I want to go there for rest and relax holiday not for training. Anyway, dear friends out there, i planning to go there for a holiday after i ord. if u are interested too pls let me know too k. would be around May, June or early July. Let me know u r interested and i will do follow up with u when the time is ripe. =)

The drinkable water there got a weird taste cause its lack of flouride and chlorine. after a few day will get use to it cause no other choice mah. Drink or die of thrist. Haha.. =p

First time saw camp got internet access to use and movie screening everyday. No chance to use the internet at all, hardly got to sit down to watch the movie too until the last day before leaving the camp. The movie i saw on that day were resident evil 1 and 2 and dawn of the dead, all of them were the movie that i scare to watch. Sigh~

First time experience super short rain which last for only or less than 5mins each time. Feel so frustrated cause by the time i wear my raincoat the rain would stop and the sun will raise.

The scenary at ShoalWater Bay Training Area was awesome. Too bad got no pics.

I having a runnning nose since the first day i landed at Rockhampton and the day i left. Luckily my cough had recover.. Sneeze sneeze.

Those were my experience in Australia. Thought nearly die over the gun mechanism faulty incident but the overall experience was nice. There were numbers of pics taken during the trip but need to get it from my friends inorder to share with u guys and gers. Will upload the pics asap.

Hmmm.. Long time since i blog. What should i update on my blog? Let me think... =)

2 weeks ago, juz recover from high fever of close to and higher than 39'C. Got a 2 days mc and get a chance to rest at home and to escape from the busy workload and tons of seminar and lecture back in camp.

Last week, i was busy packing up my bag for overseas. U may be wondering where am i going? Why within the short 1 years i can go overseas so often. First was Tekong then Taiwan, follow by Australia this time round. I also dunnoe why, maybe i am consider lucky that i am that 'free' and fortunate to go overseas so often. haha.. =)

Anyway, in another 5 more hours time i will be leaving Singapore and by 1am the next day i will be touching down at Australia airport. According to the advance party who had touch down yesterday night comment that, the temp there is very very very cold. i think there is no much different from Taiwan. Nevertheless, i am still going to bring and wear extra clothing.

Last week, i had a class reunion gathering with my sec sch classmate. When for bowling game follow by a dinner at Waraku Marina square. The bowling game was a disappointed one, cause i didn't even had a strike at all, maybe the pins dun like me its doesn't want to fall, there were couples of time where i could almost got a strike. Keep getting 8, 9pin and spare.
The dinner at Waraku was another experience, i try the octupus and squid set, it was nice.
I order a strawberry ice cream, the ice cream was nice too especially at the last part when u eat together with the breakfast cereal.

16 September 2007....
Last week, i just attended one of the few outfields that are plan for the training.
Got bitten by many many mosquito and sandfly, lot of wounds or red dot all around my body, hands, neck, legs and some on the face, keep scratching them non-stop.
This coming week, going to be lot more fun. Going to the air and sea to do more advance training. Going to be thrilling.. and of course my uniform going to get wet and dusty.

This weekend, i went out for steamboat dinner with dear and her colleagues at bugis on Friday night. On Saturday, looking at the chance of no standby duty to worry about, i went to beach road to top up some stuffs, and to have the famous Prawn Noodle. It was yummy.. Then, we meet up with poly mates to one of my friends house to celebrate her baby first month. The baby was super chubby.. Got my chance to carry him, by the chance i carry her into my arm, he was yawning and feeling sleepy.. Stay there for hours then we went onto Takashimaya to see, taste and buy moon cake. After all the tasting and viewing, we went down for coffee talk at Starbuck.

Counting down 1 more months (-) before i set off for another holiday trip on the 15 October to South Western region.

Finally, i finished my self-defense course. Soon, i will be embarking for my advance training from September onward.

In less than a month time, to be exact on the 15 October i will be going overseas. My stay there will be slightly 2 weeks plus a few days more or i might roll over and stay there for more than 3 weeks or close to a month. It all depend on the stay there.

So fast i had already serve NS for 1yr 3months, in less than 9 months time i going to ord, provided i am not selected for the NS PS course. Lots of outfield and fighting mosquito camp coming up.

Hmm.. it has been quite a while since i catch up with all my friends.. Hope that if possible we meet up for gathering before i went overseas k? =)

Back to blogging after close to a month..








NDP 2007 finally came to an end after months of hardwork.. A good show was presented to the public on the 9th August.

Life after NDP was hectic, lots of program coming up. Now i am taking my ICCT lesson. Lot of falling, kicking, chopping, locking and self-defense technique to learn. Soon i will be going for some advance training that involve sky and water.

Last week sunday, i went for the 21.1Km AHM (Army half Marathon) run. It was a long journey and i could hardly feel my legs anymore after i enter the finishing line. I manage to come in below 2hrs 30min, which was quite an achievement. After the run, both my knee cap was in dead pain that i could hardly bend them at all.
